Then drop all the way down and there is a huge treasure chest with the Super Hammer in it. This lets you break through those large silver colored blocks. Go back towards the beginning and there is a silver block on a ledge with a golden object behind it. You have to press the red switch pad to change the direction of the stairs, but then crush the silver block and the artifact is yours. To the very right is a treasure room with a silver block in it. Smashing it triggers Stone Chomps to come out of the wall.
Moving back into the lower part of the Ruins you find a crack in the wall one room over from where you place the stones (this room has six statue chomps sitting on pillars). Opposite of that room is the crack in the wall. Blow through it and drop down. There is a super block there, so you can upgrade another member of your party. Next to the Super Block there is yet another crack in the wall. Another hole in the wall reveals a diamond-shaped stone.
Following a path right of the super block, is a dark hallway with a low ceiling. In it is a map with the location of four stones on it. It marks your location with the red arrow. Keep moving right and you end up in a room with a key hovering on a ledge. There is a sliver block in that same room. Crush it with your hammer to uncover a red switch pad that will form stairs out of the wall. At the top you can get your key. Time to go back up and unlock the door in the room with the six statue Chomps sitting on pillars. In the next room you can press a red switch pad that empties the sand in that room. It reveals the pattern for the stone placement. You need to place the Triangle Stone to the very left, skip a slot, place the Diamond Stone, skip a slot, and finally place the Lunar Stone in the last slot. But you still need the Lunar Stone. Go down a floor and retrieve it, because the sand has bridged the gap that was once there. Once all the stones are in place a new set of stairs will appear. This is the path to the final boss featuring the usual health and save blocks. Use them wisely.
Travel back towards the Train Station now so you can go back to Toad Town. There is a Super Block just up the mountain to the left of the Train Station. It's behind one of those large silver blocks, but now that you have the super hammer you can bust through it. Board the train and get back to Toad Town for a whole new set of surprises.
